I don't get it.
They say they are raising the season tickects anywhere up $5.00 to $8.00 to keep up with competition.

Competition with what? Another Steelers team? Another NFL team hundreds of miles away, who you are NOT a fan of?

All Steeler Season tickects are sold out for the next 10 years! There's even a waiting list.

Why don't they just "bite the bullet" and honestly say "Hey, we are raising the price, because we can, and want the extra money".

No they have to compete with the Indoor Football team LOL. Seriously though they have to keep up with the Joneses in form of what they offer at the stadium. That is my guess by what they mean by competition. They have to pay for upkeep of Field and all those things. Rather then just say prices are getting higher they call it competition. Maybe they think their grounds keeper is SOOO good that other teams are offering better contracts.
