A man can be "on the hook" for child support even if he doesn't want to be a father. Could this be a fair way to level the playing field?

i guess they should both have to sign a statement stating the agreement on childsupport and things of that nature

Should a woman have to give written consent to a man that chooses not to wear a condom to carry his child? If both parties are consenting and are choosing to have sex with each other, that IS the consent. People who are not ready for children technically should not be having sex, especially unprotected. Obviously that is a naive statement, but if you cannot picture yourself raising a child with someone, think about it before you sleep with them and choose not to wear a condom.

If a man choses to have sex without protection he's given consent to have his sperm meet an egg and make a baby. You don't need a written contract, just use a condom.

How would she get your sperm unless you gave it to her, ie by having sex with her? If you have sex with her without protection then it's already like you gave her permission. If it's in a sperm bank somewhere then she would have to get consent from you. Unless you are one of those anonymous donors that sells his sperm for money.

if a man does not want to be a father he should not have unprotected sex. or maybe not have sex at all. a woman does not need your permission to get prgnant for any reason. either protect yourself during sex or pay the piper.

I agree with the statements above first of all. Second of all........if the guy is a real louse, he can give up the rights to his kid.

Interesting thought....did you know that a sperm donor can be held responsible for child support, even for a donation? It happens.
Personally, I think there's too many women in this country, that are just looking for a meal ticket...they get a woman pregnant, and her whole mental outlook changes. If a woman becomes unstable, and aggressive after childbirth, I'd say he has the right to sever this marriage, because he was misled....and above all, if she's playing a trap game, he shouldn't be punished because she's a deadbeat mom.
The system is designed to punish men....it's time to level the playing field.
