Simply tell her that you feel awkward now that she has obviously moved on, and that you think it would be best if you didn't stay in touch. Being honest and open is mature, if she gets mad, it's only because she's trying to have it both ways -- which is inconsiderate of her. So take care of YOUR feelings and stop worrying about hers (she doesn't seem to care much for yours).

Best way is to be honest.....let her know that you need soem space as she has moved on but you are not ready for friends just yet. She cannot be so insensitive that she wants a new man and still rely on the old one too.

main thing is you have to move on by being sociable with other people and not stayin at home gettng depressed.

also avoid her calls :)

Best of luck! It takes time but you will find someone worthy of you.

You need to be an adult and tell her that it is over she is your ex for a reason and you need to leave it that way.You will not beable to move on until you completely leave your past in the past. You don't need to try and have a friendship with her because it simply is not going to work. She is probably trying to make you jealous or hurt you further by trying to keep in contact with you when she has a new man.Don't allow her to treat you like a puppet..Tell her it is over and move on...If you don't then you have nobody to blame but yourself when you get hurt even further..

Just be up front and honest because if you don't answer or answer and tell her you will call her later and then don't then you are gonna become a liar. Tell her you don't want to remain friends because it's too difficult to get over her that way.

Be honest, direct and polite. Tell her since she has someone new in your life, you would like to be able to move on and meet someone new and find it difficult when you continue to have contact with one another. No additional explanation is necessary on your part. If she is with someone else now, its disrespectful to keep call you. Sounds like she wants to keep more options open than considering how she makes others feel, not worth your time.

Anger at whom? Her? She's doing what she wants. Do what you heart tells you. If you can't be friends then don't. Tell her that. She will appreciate the truth and not answering is a chicken why out.

just be honest. Tell her that you need to sort your head out and just need to not be around her for a while. If she's any kind of friend she will happily leave you alone. If you lie it will only create anger.

The next time she calls, tell her calmly and rationally that you think you should both try to separate yourselves from each other. Tell her that you thinks its what best for both of you and you'd prefer to break off the contact. Be polite about it and don't lose your temper! Good luck.

Why do you feel you can't tell her you want to move on? She has, she's with someone else. Just tell her that at this point, it hurts you to be "friends" with her. That after some time it might be possible. Just not yet.

Be up front with her. If she's got a new guy, great! Let her call him.
Tell her you've moved on and after all you've been thru together you guys can't be friends. THen stick to it and screen your calls.
