I have called the doc but they have no appointments for over a month!!! I am only 25 so it can't be menopause.

Yes I am married and yes I have 2 kids. Just stating this because lots of people come on here and post an answer saying that I should have done this or never done that. I just want an answer that is not judgmental and that may help me figure this out before I can see the doc. This month wait will just be so long!!!! Thank you all!!!

There are a lot of normal factors that can be causing your period to be this late...sickness, stress, weight loss, or gain..shifting hormone levels ( these are just a few ) There were many times were my period was over a month late...As long as there is no pregnancy, all they will do is check for cysts, and put you on a birth control to get your period in a regular cycle......I would consider just taking a pregnancy test anyways....don't worry to much....if you are really stressed out, find another doctor in the area and get in to see them.

I work in ob/gyn. The first thing you should do is take a pregnancy test. Despite your tubal ligation, it IS possible, though remote, to become pregnant. I have seen it many times. Beside, most likely the first thing your doctor will do is a pregnancy test.

Short of pregnancy, you may just be having what is called an anovulatory cycle, which means you have failed to ovulate this month. Often, when this happens, when you finally do begin to bleed, you may have a very long period.

If your pregnancy test is negative, it is not a problem to wait a month. If it is positive, or you begin having pain, call your doctor again, ASK TO SPEAK TO THE NURSE, and tell her your story. In that case she should fit you in regarless of when the next available opening is.

If they still wont see you, go to the emergency room.

It is very rare that you would be pregnant, if you were pregnant in your fallopian tubes it would be painful. It's possible your period is late due to ovarian cysts.. your pretty young for menopause. It could be stress but if it's been a month that's too long I'm thinking probably ovarian cysts have you ever had them?

Sadly even having your tubes tied doesn't mean there's a 100% chance you won't get pregnant. It very rare that you will however. Interestingly enough, I was talking to the pharmacist I work with yesterday, and she said that she had a friend whose husband had a vasectomy and she her tubes tied, and they STILL got pregnant. So it can happen.

Just to ease your mind, you should use an at-home pregnancy test. Even with fallopian tubes tied you can have an ectopic pregnancy.
