First of all, today is his 50th birthday, if he's still alive.
Bin Ladin, to the muslim extremists, is worth more alive than dead, because he represents a potent rallying point, and a man to flaunt his position against the american action in the middle east.
Secondly, i'm sure a lot of extremists will try to make me believe that he's alive, with old footage, old tapes, or old documents...if he is alive, why hasn't he done any new video since 2004? Sure, there's a lot of file video, that has been shot, documented, and even dismissed, but I would like the truth.
We do know, the man is on Dialysis...not exactly a good omen for an old man on the run, considering what it takes to move, get treatment, and stay alive, while on the run.
Lastly, I know it's a religious dogma that keeps these extremists going, but has anyone ever seen a rational explanation, from him, on why he shouldn't do these killings? No morals, ethics, or even smpathy?
The man has mental issues...we had a few too.

I would say no.If he were still alive,with all the turmoil in the middle east,I am sure he would have put his two cents in by now.I think that Al Qaeda will try to keep it under wraps for as long as possible because , as you said,he is worth more to them alive than dead.However,if he was pronounced killed in battle,that would be better for them than if he were pronounced dead from kidney failure,hiding in a cave somewhere. I personally hope he is dead and that he suffered a great deal!!! That is against God's laws but I cannot help but see the towers and all those people he killed.

I believe hes alive for 2 reasons;

a guy with a 25 million dollar bounty on his head's dead body will be found if he is dead.

2nd he may already be in custody and that info will NEVER be released if he is martyred then this will get up the arabs blood if he is imprisoned then this will get up the arabs blood so h
I think he is alive and in secret custody

I think he's alive and laying low. Thats why we brought in Saddam, to distract us from the original problem, big pres bush needed a bad guy, so he found one! Even if Osama is dead, there are many who would easily take his place.

bah - who cares? Islamic extremism never started with bin laden and won't end with him - just like right wing neo-cons don't live and die with bush - the world is bigger than a couple of people..

I think he is alive. If he were dead, his people would call for 'Revenge', even if he died of natural causes.
