well hmm i dont know i think u have a problem with reinstalling it so here is the steps i use :) (works every time)

First, you need to get the computer to boot off the XP CD. Do this by putting it in the CD Drive and restarting the computer. You should see a prompt during boot up that says to "Press a key to boot off CD" or something to that effect. Press a key and you will be taken to a blue setup screen. If this option does not show up, you may have to enable boot off CD in your BIOS. Contact Me if you need help getting this to work.

Once you get it to boot off the CD, it will go to a blue screen that mentions Windows Setup. After it loads some files, it will ask you if you want to install windows or repair. Select the option to install windows (usually its just press enter).

Next it will ask you to accept the license, press F8 to accept it.

Next it will list any hard drive partitions you have installed on the computer. Here you will need to delete all of them. Once they are deleted it will tell you how much free space you have available. You should then select the free space and press enter to setup Windows on this space. When it asks, you should format the partition using NTFS (not the quick format if it asks).

The format will take a while, and then the computer will copy the files onto the new partition and reboot. The setup will continue and it will eventually ask you for input such as time zone. Once you are done with this setup, you should have a clean, fast, working computer.

Once you have formatted the computer, you should continue the steps outlined on this site such as installing antivirus and antispyware.

Hello,

(ANS) You almost certainly have a damaged windows registry database, with corrupted or missing entries. There are various ways to repair this but non of them are for novice users I'm affraid.

**Only very expercienced or advanced users should go any where near the registry. Why? because its extremely easy to screw up your entire system unless you know precisely what your doing.

**I never ever use the Windows recovery service, why? because its prone to taking a snap shot of an infected system, so when the machine is recovered so are any potential viruses or infections. In my opinion the recoverey service isnt a good tool. I personally prefer a proper windows backup using the backup tool that comes with XP. This is because it wasnt created by MS it comes from Seagate Backup exec which is a very reliable backup tool.

**A blue screen of death (BSD) indicates a fatal or critical system error, which could also indicate a damaged or missing device driver upon windows boot up, which also could be related to the damaged registry. For example windows is looking in the registry for certain settings which it cannot find because they are missing or damaged thus a device driver cannot be found or fails to load, thus your system becomes unstable and crashes.

a) Various options:- find an expert who knows how to fix the registry?

b) Use the last known good option at boot up, key F8 just after the windows logo. Select last known good, hopefully the last known good is an undamaged copy of the registry. If this is also damaged or doesnt fix the problem go to C

c) Re-install your entire windows system including re-partition & reformat the drive, so windows is re-installed as if from new and this gives you an undamaged registry and should fix all the problems inc the BSD too.

Hope that helps?

Sounds Like your hard drive is on the way out as the same data is being corrupted each time you re-install.

When you re-install from scratch the computer will use the same area of the disk even after a format.

I would advise you to change the drive ASAP even using scan-disk or third party disk repair tools are a temporary fix as the fault will probably get worse.

Sorry.

You might want to check these 2 things to make sure they're working correctly...
1. Motherboard...use a diagnostics program like PC Doctor.
2. Memory Sticks...You can download the memory diagnostic program from Microsoft Download Center.
If information is being corrupted as it goes through either of these you will have problems.
I had problems because my Mobo was failing...another reason you would get the BSOD.

It sounds like your hard drive has errors to me. First try a check disk to fix those errors. Go to a command prompt and type, "chkdsk /f" and press enter. Then respond "Y" to run checkdisk at next boot. Then reboot.
You may have to replace your hard drive if this does not work.
