Somewhere around $30K per year but it's money well-spent. If you're concerned about rising prison costs then you should lobby for drug policy reform since the explosive growth in the prison industry is attributable to the 37 year-old folly known as the War on Drugs

Well, the average person in jail, on death row, is one million dollars a year. I got this figure in American Government, from the professor.
Considering that Manson comes up for parole every so often, and is probably not in a severe state, i'd estimate his care, each year, is between 100,000-150,000 a year, taking some off for duties, and work...I can't imagine him making plates for cars though.

Instead he's now just a pathetic source of amusement, wheeled out every other year for a Geraldo Rivera interview where he puts on his "Crazy" act.

I think around 30,000 per year typically, but I'm sure the trial cost way way way more than all he'll cost in jail.

I believe I heard a warden speaking about the $ amounts to care for one prisoner was around $25,000 to $30,000.

What ever the amount we will pay it. It is worth it! To keep him locked up for the rest of his life...
