Hello,

My girlfriend is suffering from on and off sore stomachs. They seems to be a twinge and then it starts to hurt. There seems to be some feeling of being sick as well. She also complains of being very tired. She has just gone back onto the pill and does not know if this is anything to do with it.

Hope someone can give her some help.

P.S she is not pregnant, that both of us are sure of. We used plenty of protection, the combined pill and a condom (put on properly).

Try the self help guide at http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/help/ The site guides you through some yes/no questions about your symptoms, then advises on where to get help.

If you're in the UK you can also speak to a health care professional 24 hours a day by phoning 0845 4647 (I know that doesn't seem to be enough digits, but its right!). Calls cost a maximum of 5p a minute. They'll be able to advise you further.

Good luck!

It sounds like she may have cysts on her ovaries or some kind of growth it sounds worrying PLEASE dont let her brush off get it checked out. Cysts on ovaries can make u very tired and twinge, and among other things can make someone steadily gain weight and just not be able to stop, until they weight 18 stone (200lbs) or even more.
The tiredness is what is worrying, as a mere infection would not cause such long term and general overall tiredness like that.

There are plenty of reasons she may be feeling this way and the only way to find out for sure is to see her doctor. The doctor would first try to decide if her symptoms are gastrointestinal or gynecological.

Off hand, I would guess either IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) vs. endometriosis.

Here are a couple web sites to get you started:

http://www.webmd.com/ibs/guide/irritable-bowel-syndrome-symptoms-types
http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/understanding-endometriosis-symptoms

I hope she feels well soon!

Tell her to see a doc.................I cant believe people have serious problems that affect their daily life and will not go to the doctors, but will seek advice on an internet site that wont be able to give a correct diagnosis for a number of reasons.

Get her to see a doctor please.
