i have been getting sharp pains in my lower abdomen for the past 30 hours, it started with aweird pain that felt kind of like an electric shock (like if you go to the chiropractor and they use the electric machine that makes your muscle contract) and the baby has been moving but very spiratically- he'll kick ALOT for like 5 minutes and not again for a couple hours- this is new for him.... should i worry?

Anytime you notice a drastic change in movement patterns, it's the safest bet to contact you OB/Midwive/On-Call nurse and explain in detail the pain, location and movement patterns.

Your little one is putting on a lot of weight right now. There are a number of things this could easily be, from annoying braxton hicks contractions, to your muscles being irritable from the amount of weight they are now trying to get used to holding. It's not uncommon to get round ligament pains (specific to the area you are referring to) which can be sharop pangs at times, especially if you have been active (this can be mean anything from walking, to cleaning, to sexual activity or exercise)

I wouldn't worry-- however, always err on the side of caution. (Especially when you are pregnant!) Remember the mantra "it's better to be safe then sorry" for the remainder of your pregnancy.

Congrats on your new little one and best of luck!

Sounds like what I experienced. I would ask the doctor next time you go in. Good luck with your baby. Its an experience that can't be matched.

Call your doctor immediately. They can hook you up to monitor you and the baby, with a non-stress test. It could be a sign of preterm labor. You don't want to risk it, go to the doctor or the hospital.

I've been experiencing alot of similar pains and my doctor told me it was round ligament pain. But you won't know for sure unless you go see a doctor.
