Now, my processor speed - 1.7GHz, 1,500MB (1.5GB) of Memory (RAM), and plenty of HD space. My video card is Intel Extreme Graphics. The 2nd link, says it will work. If the first link, which is direct, is correct, what will be the consequences? Will it simply not work? Will it just lag?

Eeek! That is too bad. This is a laptop, though..which means you cannot change the graphics card. So, can I get backup info that this will not work?

Everything was looking good untill you mentioned Intel Extreme Graphics. Apparently, it's not a T&L capabe graphics card so you might need 2 GHz processor speed for the game to run properly.
I'm not entirely sure though or what i would be like in your case but when I tried installing a diferent with a graphics card not capable of T&L, the game just refused to be installed.

Hmmm, with a a million.3 GHZ processor... maybe... on low settings.... in all probability be uneven gameplay at perfect. And Vista desires 512 for minimum overall performance... in case you opt for something good do your self a desire and improve to a gig + of ram.

it will run it cause my pc at 500 mhz 256 ran it with 128
