The problem with DAn Brown is that he does sloppy research and makes bad conclusions.

There is some truth, but it gets muddled under

He does do a lot of research for his books. Then he weaves a fictional story through historical truths.
Also, every single word of the Bible is not true. Many things have been proven true as well as false through historical research and archaeology.

A book like Angels and Demons is good for making you interested, curious enough to begin your own search. Look for other non-fiction books in religion and science sections on topic related issues, and then come to your own conclusions about what makes sense to you.

It's a book, fiction. You don't find it in the library under Religion. Dan Brown takes somethings that are reality and makes it fit into a story. If you want to learn about religion, look up a book that is based on reality, not a book written for entertainment.

be cynical and skeptical as there are many good authors who can base something fictional on the truth and mislead one who is not knowledgeable. I have answered numerous questions about a certain Fraternal Organization and have often cautioned the questioner to go directly to the source rather than here as there is so much erroneous information which people believe but is NOT the truth at all.

Dan Brown has he uncanny knack to mix enough truth to sound credible yet his misrepresentation of the Gospel is not only deceived and distorted it's out of the box.

When you endeavour to discover something about God and His creation it is always best to refer to the Biblical Mandate that He has already given us, after you have discovered the integtity of God's Word you will be able to accept it as the final authority by which you will be able to determine both truth and error

I have taken the liberty of giving you the scripture references in God's Word concerning angels so you can compare and see for yourself.

For serious research, I would not recommend asking yahoo answers. It's not a crystal ball. Questions about christian things get bashed so badly. Dan Brown's fiction has not helped.

He does a lot of research for his books, The Da Vinci Code chief among them, but there is also a decent amount of speculation thrown in there.

Do not believe in that ....its all crap. Its a fiction novel. If you really want to know anything abt christianity....read the Bible....no one had proved it to be wrong until now. Each and every word written in the Bible is true.
