Wal-Mart has its ups & downs. Some moments spent there aren't a complete waste of time. I agree with the other answers with the fact that Wal-Mart provides a "one-stop shop" for many (plus, it's cheap). You can get your school supplies, electronics, clothes, toiletries, and food (in super centers) all in one place. Plus, where Wal-Marts are placed, the economy grows. On the other hand, though, many small businesses are run out of business because of the large stores like Wal-Mart. Coming from a family of small business owners myself, I can see both sides. Wal-Marts are very easily accessible and provide cheap goods for consumers, but are also on the road to running other small, family owned businesses out of town. So, I personally .. love AND hate Wal-Mart.

No to Wal Mart. I don't like how they treat their employees. Many employees' work schedules are quite odd. A few hours here; a few hours there. This way, WalMart makes it look like they are only part time employees ,and so they don't have to offer medical insurance. Also, I'd never buy an appliance from WalMart. It may say " Maytag", but it will the cheapest product Maytag makes. You get what you pay for. It may look like a good price, but WM is making a killing because it will always buy the cheapest brand . One out of three people who buy TVs there return them within three months. Won't shop that store and encourage others not to shop there either.

Some of the Wal Marts near me are kind of yucky and so are the people who shop and work there. I'd rather go to Target.

Neither. There isn't a Wal Mart where I live, so I don't shop there.

started at 8 went to 10.5 in 7 years
they give a Christmas bonus of 50.00 after 5 years

I use to love it, but now I'm getting to the point where I hate it. So many rude people, the lines are so long, and you have to walk two miles to get from groceries to health and beauty aids, the clothes are ugly and so forth. I'm worn out every time I go.

I love it because the prices are lower on most items, and they are starting to carry some really nice clothes and shoes. I am however not happy with how some of the employee's act. I do my best to be happy and polite at my own job, I expect something along those lines when I go to another place of business.

Love it-because they sell everything and you don't have to go to a million different places....hate it-because it's so big you are in there a hundred years for just a few things...the lines are always really long....
