My guppie just had 10 babies and i was wondering if i should put them in their own tank or leave them in the tank divider that they are in now they are in a section a 10 gallon tank. I was also wondering if they need a heater i already have on but i was wondering if they really need one? also do the filters and pumps add alot to your electricity bill? And how often should i change the water

How is the tank divided? Is it an actual tank divider or are they in one of those breeder boxes? If you are using a divider then you can leave them to their own side. If you have a breeder box then it is best to get them in a tank.

Yes, guppies need a heater. They are healthiest when the water is around 78-82 degrees.

No, they add almost nothing to your bill.

As long as the babies aren't in with the mother, they'll be okay in the divided section. If together, the mom will try to eat them. Fry also like things to hide in like floating plants. Since guppies are tropical fish, they prefer the warmer water temperatures. I don't have a heater for my guppy, but a couple hours of sunlight or light a day does him just fine. I don't think you need to worry about a huge difference in your electricity bill, unless you run them 24/7. The water should be changed regularly about once a week. Empty about half to 3/4 of the water and put some fresh, new stuff in. But make sure that it isn't straight from the tap, or you'll kill the fish from too much chlorine. Or if you have water dechlorinator, that will work if you add some in.

Sorry approximately your situation yet you will locate authentic fish shops won't take them for greater or less 3 - 4 months - Many different fish will consume them or you are able to eliminate them and purely flush them - Your guppy would have 10 - 15 fry and in case you have a nicely planted tank many will cover - Why not purely do away with the female and you will have not greater

They defenatly need to be seporated from ANY adults. The adults(male/and female as well as other fish species) will eat them! I suggest leaving them in the same tank but in a floating fry htchery. feed them very finly ground flakes(between 2 spoons or a mortar and pestle,CLEAN coffee grinder) powder is a good consistancy. or liquid food. Mine do very well on ground up tropical madaly(pink flakes and brine shrimp for bettas)

if you keep them with adults you need 2 have a hiding place the adults will eat them as soon as they come out. I usally let them breed on their own in ther normal tank and the majority survive because i have like 4 hiding places.
