This is just a saying for now. I was wondering since I'm from Washington, DC is it a good move for me to move to Mississippi and it will it be a culture shock for me and how is the winter down there compare to where I'm from?

They can get some very bad hurricanes in Mississippi. They are still recovering from Katrina. Stay away from the gulf states for now. How about North Carolina or Virgina?

They are warmer than Washington DC.

good luck

Come on down. I'd imagine it would be a culture shock in some regards. How much so depends on what area of the state you move to.
Winters are usually very mild but I'd be more concerned about the stifling hot humid summers if I were you.
