Hi,
I am 34 weeks and today whilst out I developed a sore patch on/in my belly. It is to the left & slightly above the belly button & is sore to touch but also hurts inside when I am moving around or anything touches it. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks

I KNOW THIS IS NOT VERY HELPFUL, BUT I WOULD CONTACT YOUR MIDWIFE. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.

This may sound like an odd thing to say but does your baby constantly kick in that area because when i was pregnant with my 2nd child she was always kicking just near my navel and after about 3-4 weeks of this I told my midwife that it was killing me, really sore to the touch etc, she said that this was very common and that inside my stomach the babies constant movement over the same patch may have caused some internal abbrasion. ??

Hiya i am 27 weeks today and have had the exact same pain as you are describing since last night. i rang my local materninty hospital this mornin and they asked me to go in and they checked the baby and his heart rate and gave me a scan and also give me an internal but sent me home as they said there was nothing to worry about its just the ligaments stretching but the doctor said when he was doin the scan tht sum times women get bleeding behind the placentre and thts what he was checkin 4. it may also be pre-eclampsia. but dont worry just ring up your midwife they wont think you are bothering them its their job and if there was n e thing wrong and you didnt ring you would never forgive yourself would you!! hope every thing is fine i should imagine it will be:) but gud look 4 the birth and taked care x

My tummy is sore in spots right now from my bf and me constantly touching and poking at it. lol. I just started showing a bit and we're over-excited I guess. You could have gotten a bruise, either on or below the skin. If it continues, I'd call the doctor tomorrow just to make sure it couldn't be a sign of something more serious.

Its especially commonplace to be sore. Your abdomen is on the threshold of initiate turning out to be and is additionally slowly turning out to be via now. as long as you do not have cramping or bleeding its ok. you would be sore each so often down south too cuz this is the place the toddler is appropriate now. you may get ligament soreness too so in case you have sharp pains on your facets that's what that's. If its to plenty to handle you could take a million usual power tylenol.

hi I'm just over 36 weeks pregnant and when i was around 32 weeks pregnant i had the same thing but mine was a patch at the top of my bump i was worried like yourself so asked my midwife what it could be she assured me it was nothing to worry about it was just the baby leaning on a nerve and when the baby moves off the nerve it should go and it finally has id recommend to see your midwife if your still worried though.
good luck Hun

Most likely because the baby is kicking in the same place. With my first, she always kicked right below the naval. I wound up having a small bruise after she was born. Either that, or you're getting stretch marks. Good Luck and God Bless.

It sounds like the baby has been a little rough with you or the baby is in an awkward position.

If it persists I would speak to your midwife or GP about it.

that is just your muscles stretching- it feels kind of like you did a lot of sit ups right? it will ease up... i am suprised you are just getting it now though- i've had it since about 20 weeks.... if the pain is too annoying take a tylonol.
