In your experience and opinion, what is LA like as a family holiday destination???
Any good towns or attractions that shouldn't be missed??
Just general information would be appreciated...

Despite what some people say, I think that LA is definitely a good fit for a family vacation.
I'll give you some ideas of things you can do with kids:
-Disneyland (that's an hour's drive from downtown)
- Santa Monica (nice beach, great to take walks)
- Hollywood (walk of fame...Hollywood sign...Sunset Blvd.)
The weather is always great, too. The only thing that might be a concern is the presence of homeless people anywhere.

There's the Queen Mary, Spruce Goose, Disney, Universal Studios to name but four. For the adults there are some pretty good microbreweries with attached pubs in Orange County (good one on Campbell off of I405 South)

im sure theres some good places in LA but watch out what neighborhood your in and for idiot celebrities.but LA does have some good museums and check out the tar pits...and the shopping..
