The Ducks were blowing everybody's doors off until Giggeurre, Pronger, Marchant, Beauchimin, and Bryzgalov all got hurt at once. And Scott Neidermeyer was playing with a stress fracture. Just when they got everybody well, Pronger breaks his toe in the gym. GEEEZ!!! But, back to the question. The Ducks are only 2 points behind Detroit, but 10 ahead of anybody in their really tough Division. I will say this too, if the Preds win the cup, it isn't because of Forsberg. They were on top before he even got there. The Chicken Dung was "hurt" when they played the Ducks Sunday. Yeah, right!!!!

No one really hates the Ducks... Its just that the Ducks aren't the average NHL fan's favorite team anymore.
Aside from Selanne there is no real attractable player to follow since him and Kariya were adored underdogs few years back. Giggy has been awsome but hasn't attracted fans like he did during the cup run.
maybe fans, in general this year are just more into thier own local team... at the same time, lots of people don't want to see Pronger leave the Oilers and succeed.
lastly, the new Ducks logo sucks...

Im not sure if everyone hates the ducks but for the people that do, its probably cause they are so good and they back up what they say (i.e. Leading league in Majors and up there in goals for and against.) They have the best lineup top to bottom (selanne leads forwards) and with pronger, niedermayer on D and Jiggy in net, I cant see them not winning the cup when they are healthy. They also have the toughness teams need to win the playoffs. This years playoffs is gonna be great cause the new salary cap makes most of the teams even and this year that is so true. Im pumped for the playoffs and to watch Anaheim kick some butt!!!

I don't think everyone hates the Ducks. They may have gotten a lot of animosity in the past due to the fact that they were owned by Disney, and based off of a family movie. I think that more and more people are beginning to respect them. Last year they surprised everyone with what a good team they were, and they cemented their place in the top of the NHL this season. If you look back to preseason predictions, a lot of people picked the Ducks to win the West if not The Cup (Check out TSN or Fox Sports predictions). The people that are Duck haters are fans that hate the fact that their team isn't as good.

People are jealous they are outperforming their team (unless you're talking about Buffalo - I discount Nashville and Detroit because they have beefed up their record in the weakest division in the NHL). I don't think it is so much hate as jealousy. But my two teams are at the top this year (Anaheim and Buffalo - my two hometown teams), so that makes me happy. It's hard to follow the Ducks because their games end here at like 1 am and I have to be at work at 7:30 am, but I still follow the best I can.

If you're home team plays in their division, Sharks, then it's only natural to hate the Ducks. All that time and money to create a new logo and decide on team colors and that was the best they could come up with??

I dont hate the Ducks...I just dislike Nashville or any team that Paul Kariya plays for. Not many ppl realize how much damage he has done to Detroit..

Because I don't like Hot Shot Lawyers like their coach Gordon Bombay! The Bash Brothers play too rough, but I think Banks could lead them to the promised land. Goldberg needs to block more shots. And Conway looks too much like that guy off Dawson's Creek.

i like the ducks but i dont really follow them.
but hey.
the disney movies are pretty cool.
and what is uup with their gay uniforms..and the name change.
i think thats so stupid.
