Countries with the appropriate facilities are asked to host various competitions after bidding for them. Given that most countries with appropriate facilities have hosted the finals in the past 10 years, Greece seems a normal choice. They chose England to host the Olympics in 2012 and Euro 1996, France had the World Cup the other year, Germany had it, Spain had the CL final not long ago, etc.

Its probably because of their history. Not only does Greece have history as in math, science, politics, art, medicine astronomy etc but it's has a great sports history. The very first olympics were played there and the Ancient Greeks took pride in there sports which are some of the first known existance of sports to have taken place in the human existance.

Cause Greece is beatiful country with fantastic history:Yes,Europan Champions in Football,World in basketball,not to talk about Tasos from Milet and Pitagora,maths and phylosophy.

They invented sports... :/ I mean England invented football so they should host the CL final. But Greece also won Euro 2004 so maybe for that too.
