I would suggest buying the book (or getting it from your local library) called "When you are expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads"- by Luke & Eberlein. I am not expecting triplets, but I am pregnant with twins and this book is a GREAT resource for any questions you might have.
Also, I'd suggest joining an online forum such as one of ones hosted by Ivillage.com or TWINSMagazine.com. They have multiple forums for moms expecting multiples, who posted daily. You can ask as many questions as your heart desires and many moms are available who are going through the same thing, or been through the same thing.

Congrats to your best friend (and you too, how neat!)

Best advice... take it easy- slow down, and practice patience. (Both while pregnancy and after they are here!)

I know a few people with triplets. There are usually organizations for parents with multiples in every town, so she may want to look into that. The only advise I have it so take it wasy, and when she is put on bedrest take it very seriously. Most triplets are born prematurely and will require some time in the NICU, even if it is only a couple of days. It's common for one to come home before another so be prepared for that. She should familarize herself with what goes on in a NICU, and the intererventions often needed, even for the mildest cases, such as an NG tube being placed. She will need an electric pump, though the hospital will probably give her one when the times comes so that she can pump and bring the very needed milk to her babies. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but it's important to be prepared.

I have 2 brothers and a sister that are triplets.I would just tell her to take extra care not to over do things, do whatever your doctor tells you.....your belly is going to get really big, so expect stretch marks. Also, the babies are going to be smaller than a normal baby, as expected. My sister was very sick and needed to have a machine to tell us if she stopped breathing, she would forget to breath a lot.
