I am 21, and have had two sexual partners... I lost my virginity in November, and the first few times, it obviously hurt, and I bled a lot for the next few days. It has been several months since I have been sexually active, and this time, having sex didn't hurt, but I am still bleeding quite a bit. I'm not sure if it's because I am still fairly "new" to sex (I have had intercourse a total of five times), or if it could be something else. Has anyone else had similar circumstances?

The same thing happened when I lost my virginity, and passed after two - three days... which seems to be the case now, as well.

I only bled the first time. As far as I know that is the norm, unless you had sex again before your body had time to heal from the first time. If this is the case, the obviously if you rub on a piece of your skin that has been cut recently, you can cause yourself to bleed and be in pain again. the same is true for All parts of your body. But if you allowed several days between the initial contact and the next time you had intercourse, the something else is likely wrong, maybe you could go to a gyn, or a planned parenthood place and ask in privacy. Planned Parenthood is usually pretty inexpensive, so give it a go, it could be serious!

Wow!! You lost your virginity at 21! At least it isn't 31. I lost mine and I wasn't even bleeding for several months at all. I think it is something serious. I suggest you talk to your doctor before you have any sex again and he or she will probably help you out on that one. Good luck.

No i haven't had this problem but my sister did and it could be from tearing of the tissue inside .if this happens ever time you have sex it could be that you are being a bit too rough take your time and it may help but call your doctor or go to the health department for help and if you are comfortable talk with you mother

This could be the cause of being torn. There were a couple times during sex that I began bleeding, I didn't feel any pain so I took a mirror and looked and seen that I had been torn down there. That could be a cause of it.

Yes, I have.. it will go away in time.. its probably caused by the tearing of your skin and tissue inside. If you are bleeding a lot though, you need to see your doctor.. otherwise if its just spotting and goes away.. you should be fine, this will soon not happen to you once you become more sexually active. Good luck..have fun and be safe!

Are you getting discharge? It could be an infection like vaginitis. I've bled after sex a few times, but not that often. Or maybe he didn't completely break your hymen yet.

And for gods sakes, please don't listen to the other people and freak yourself out. chances are it's nothing.

We do not want to hear about your bleeding vagina!

If you are worried, go to the doctor. It may be nothing, but you don't know.
