2 hours isn't that long, depending on how big your hard drive is (bigger ones take longer to scan), whether or not you were doing a deep scan (takes longest), and what you were scanning for.
You need to scan for both viruses and trojans(spyware). I use 2 seperate programs, one for each, and a total deep scan with both takes longer than 2 hours. I don't know what 'security suite' scans for, I guess its viruses.
That seems about right for a deep scan on a 160+ gig hard drive. And its probable that it seems more complicated because you're used to the old software. But with security software you're always better off with the most recent version.

Ive had McAfee for nearly 15 months simply because it came with the Comp.I must say Ive found it excellent. Apart from the scans etc that it does.I recently did a clean up with it, and I couldnt believe the results. It took an enormous amount of what I assume is rubbish off the Comp,so much so I thought the Comp must pack up.It must have taken off something it shouldnt have. However the subs are due shortly,so Im going to try all the freebies. Hope this proves to be a wise move as what I know about Comps you could write on a postage stamp

Stop moaning lol, if it was the 1st time you've ran the scan, then it's not too bad, stick with it, it's up there with one of the better virus scan s/w packages . . . . hey just realised too, give me my hair back
