My 12 yr old daughter has asked me if I would let her find a little job. Ive said yes, its not a problem to me, but she has asked me what she can do at her age and I'm basically stumped!
What kind of jobs could a 12yr old girl do? Obviously it would have to be saturday jobs, but what kind of money would she be looking at? Would anyone know?
Thanks :)

You will need to check with the school, they will be able to give you info on the legal position of youngsters working, but she cannot do any paid work before the age of 13. Many places will not take on youngsters under 16, and its not them being funny, its to do with the child labour laws and health and safety as well as insurance cover. Why not employ her aorund the house instead, then she gets to earn, and learn how to do certain tasks, and you get some time off!

Twelve is too young, I believe the legal age is from 13 upwards for paper rounds and the such. Her school should have the details if not try citizens advice.
