It really does not matter. No siphon is better than any other(with the exception of the Python and similar products, but those are in a different league.) All a gravel vacuum is is a hose that pulls water from your tank using the power of gravity, and a bulb with a check valve to prevent crap from going back into your tank.

There was a while there where I lost my gravel vac so I just cut a 4 foot piece off a garden hose and used that. It did the same thing. So don't waste the $13 the first poster mentioned. Go and find the absolute cheapest one you can, because really they are all the same. Walmart has one for $4.

Siphon is a method that sucks up the water the way a straw is used when drinking. You create a vacuum and the water goes through the tube into a container. One end is pushed around under the gravel slowly,so the debris is sucked out. An easier way is to get a $25 model that hooks up to your sink faucet (made by Python,or Lee,) and you can do water changes with this device.

i just bought the JBJ GL-28 gravel cleaner. It works great. It cost only about 13 dollars at petco! A siphon is what occurs when you clean your gravel. It is the suction of the water.

Try checking the grav vacs at Petsmart. Siphon is when you suck the water out using a tube.

Depending on the size of your tank, you will want a size you feel comfortable with. I like the ones with the removable flared ends by Lee's. Petsmart ones look very much the same as Lee's.
