Haiku should be three lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllalbles (in the US version) - I've attached a link with a lot of info from Wikipedia on Haiku. If you're interested in this sort of poetry, you may like the Yahoo Mountain Home group - they write a really cool kind of poetry called Waka...

You usually want to include a season somewhere in your Haiku...

Red and gold leaves fall,
Grey skies and a cold blanket
Now that you have gone.

Or...

Your love enflames me,
A bright ray of summer sun,
Endless warmth and joy.

See? Give it a shot! It doesn't need to rhyme...You're usually implying things more than you are STATING them outright...

i feel as if you should do your OWN homework.
i don't mean to sound rude, but it's just that when i had this kind of assignment, i had to write it by myself without someone i don't know writing it for me.

but that means it's not original and who knows if the person giving you the poem just took some famous poet's poem.
