Well, basically the government wants us all to be well-rounded and prepared for life. Maybe math stinks, and it can be confusing at times, but you will need it. Even if you don't choose a complicated career like engineering or being a math professor, a basic understanding of math, algebra, geometry, and statistics may be needed to handle bills, taxes, and large purchases, like buying a home. For now, just grin and handle it... it'll be over before you know it.

If you need any other math help, feel free to ask. :)

We have to do it because people who are skilled in Math and Science and Engineering are said to be the most successful in life. I hate math too. When you think about what you want to do for a career, find something that has little math involved. Good luck.

Not only do you need math in every day life (especially when dealing with money), but learning maths like algebra and geometry help to devlop the logic and reasoning part of your brain, which is very necessary later in life.

You most certainly do need math. How are you going to know if someone shorts you when giving you back change. If you give me $20 for a $10 item and I give you back $5 dollars are you going to be happy about that? If your dog was sick and the vet told you to give him 2 ml's of medicine are you going to know how much to give him to make him better? People who know math get the better jobs.

Sorry hon but yeah we do need math. I know, I hate it too but we use it all the time. I just think they teach us a lot of pointless math that we will never use unless we do equations in our head for fun...scary...like I was at this math thing (you got out of class for it lol) and the guy was saying how he spends his Friday nights doing math for fun and does it in the shower on the fogged windows....what a scary thought I hope he was kidding...doubt it though...eeeks!
