I don't think you can pin it on an individual,
I might suggest you get a partner to help you change the duvet cover then you can have such fun if you end up inside!
Failing that a little forethought and planning should solve your problem! Be thankful that we have them it makes making the bed a lot quicker and easier!
If you want to know where they came from then I think they are a import from the scandinavian countries - whatever they beat the traditianal bedding hands down for comfort any day ( or night)!
