I agree with you, Bad was his best album and 'Man In The Mirror' was his best song in my opinion.

There's so many to choose from but my favorites are Remember The Time, Will You Be There, In The Closet, Black Or White, Beat It, Bad, Man In The Mirror, Thriller and Ben!

Thriller, in my opinion is Jackson's best recording by far. My favorite song is Billie Jean with Thriller a close 2nd.

I'm a classical musician, and not really into pop in a big way, but Michael Jackson was just absolutely brilliant at what he did, and with so many outstanding hits, I doubt that I could even bring myself to choose just one.
I'll therefore choose two that others have ignored, but only because they are equally brilliant:-
