I would suggest that you crossdress for a couple more years like go outdoors because you might end up realizing that living as a woman isn't the right thing for you.

Funny, my daughter told me yesterday that she want's to be a man. I told her that she would be the same person whether she was male or female. Surgery and hormones won't change the soul of who you are. I feel that people who want to dress and behave like the opposite sex are people who are uncomfortable in their own skins. The problem is, making a change will only expose you to more disdain from others and force you to defend who you are when you are opened up to ridicule. You have to ask yourself if you are strong enough to withstand all that.

Try being the best person you can be no matter what your sexual identity is. These days women can work in those fields formerly reserved for men and vice versa. Physical apearance is important but fleeting.

From your question I gather that you haven't discussed this with your parents. You need to do that before they come home unexpectedly and catch you in Mom's underwear. That's not the way you want them to find out. Have a good sit-down with them and get this out in the open.

Oh, and how does it feel to be a girl? It's great sometimes, but I don't think there's that much difference. These days women are no longer treated as special. They are expected to hold down full time jobs and run the home and raise the children. I don't know enough about you to see what kind of life you're aiming at, what kind of romantic relationships you are hoping for, etc. I've just tried to express some of my thoughts on the subject. I hope truly that everything works out well for you, but don't anguish over this alone. Talk with your parents. Good luck.

Its a long process. If you live in the US, you probably can't get financial assistance. Start first w/the unsexy part - find a good counselor who has worked w/trans people. Then find a support group and starting getting out there as a female. Take it slow - if hair is an issue, electrolysis is a good place to start. Wait a bit before starting hormones. I've attached a couple of good sites for you review. Good luck!

I'm a female and the same age as you. Being a male, which you define as a curse is a natural reality. Read history a little, you'll see how being a male was worshipped. In Arabia, girl babies used to be buried alive into the sand! Maybe you have been seeing strong female figures and weak males during your chilhood, which made you feel close to men and admire women... You should find out yourself. And don't believe in the social roles, they're just ''globalised'' fantasies... Nothing is as it's been told to us... And believe me there's nothing extraordinary with being a female. And be sure that you would feel the same if you were one, because looking at something from outside is different from living it. There has been lots of times that I wanted to be a man actually. Please be careful with your future...

In order to transition you must first live 24/7/365 in the new gender role that you wish to have. At the same time, you need to be in therapy for 6 to 12 months before SRS is performed.

wow... this has to eb one of the most difficult questions i've ever read. my heart goes out to you, not lovng yourself for who you are must be really difficult. when it comes to making the 'transition' it is very expensive. that's why most people don't do it until later in life. the hormones and surgeries are not covered by insurance so you have to pay for everything out of pocket. first you want to find a good doctor that is willing to work with you. pereferably someone who has done this type of thing before and believes in prepayment plans. you might want to see a therapist with experiance in this feel because youll need someone to talk to as you undergo this process, not only are you chnging who you are on the outside you'll change on the inside 2. be prepared it will be the most financially, mentally, and physically exhaustig thing you'll ever do in your life. i hope it works out for you and your prepared for the dramatic time that awaits you. good luck :) Just for the record. i am a girl was born a girl, and very much like being a girl. this is for anyone after me who may have something not nice to say.

Okay I am not a teenage or young twenty-something, but really you need to talk to someone about this. Why ask this question knowing that you would be subjected to the ill-manners of some of our resident dumb-a$$es?
Being a girl is not all its cracked up to be. If this is something you really want to persue, then best bet is to start talking to a psycholgist now and get a head start, you are going to have to talk to one anyways. They want to make sure that you are emotionally ready for this.

I have no idea of the right answer for you. I know what you are going through is difficult. I will pray for you and I hope that you find some way to resolve the conflict you are feeling. Sometimes our problems are too great for us to handle alone or even for others to help us with. I would suggest that you put your problems at the feet of God. Pray. Read his word (the Bible). You may be absolutely amazed with His ability to heal.

Again, I wish you the best and I wish you peace.

Hi, I am 19 and have been on hormones for almost 3 months and know how you feel 100%. I agree that being transsexual sucks, but not much we can do about it but get on with our lives. Please e-mail me or IM me and I can give you a lot more advice or even just someone to talk to who has gone through it.

Do you want to have painful cramps every month? I will gladly give you the pain. Do you realize how much you will have to shave all the time? Do you realize that you will get paid less even if you perform the same job as a male? Your chances of being raped are high. Being a female is great, but men have many advantages as well. Be happy who you are.

Also, do you want to suffer PMS? Let me tell you, it's not something to take lightly. Women have higher chances of catching STD's then men. Look at the disadvantages of being a woman as well as advantages.
