I think they are already planning to make a movie on Artemis.
But I dunno who they're gonna get to act as Fowl. If you ask me, I'd say Tom Felton of Harry Potter fame would be a good choice...though they'd have to colour his hair black....Tom seems to be perfect for the role :)

I can't see any actor right now who'd have the ability to play Artemis Fowl. It's hard to imagine anyone in Hollywood to portray a teenage criminal mastermind.
Although, if i REALLY had to pick an actor, I'd say Daniel Radcliffe, but I'm not sure how well of a job he'd do. Plus, he's getting a bit too old for the role.

there have been plans for a movie for a very long time and most of the stuff i've read about it says they're going find somebody new/undiscovered talent
