Unless you abort late term, it was not a viable fetus anyway.
But yes, I believe that if it was a viable child, it has a straight ticket to heaven; it did not even enter the world of man so is free of sin.
I think the question should be more directed at how it made you feel as you had the abortion. Depending on your religion, you would recieve an answer of understanding to vehement chastizing from the church leader.
I would say your "child" is long in heaven, and now you need to settle with yourself. Avoid the same thing happening again. Do everything you and your partner can do to not have a repeat.

TO ALL THOSE SENDING THIS WOMAN TO HELL:
I would like to ask all of you (who seem to know exactly what God is thinking, how impressive) to consider this situation: I met a woman once at the doctor's office who was needing to have an abortion. She was married and already had three children. She and her husband had plenty of money to support another child and wanted one. But within the same week of discovering her pregnancy, she was also told she had cancer and would need radiation treatments weekly. If she kept the child and had the treatments, it would have been seriously deformed if it even lasted. If she chose to carry the pregnancy through without chemo, her cancer would have spread too far by that time and that new born child, his/her three siblings and his/her father would be without a mother and wife. Therefore she was aborting the child so she could recieve her cancer treatment and be alive for her already existing family. You would send this woman to hell also? Get off your soapboxes.

I hope that helps.

Um well, I don't believe in heaven or hell. I'm pro-choice, but if you have an abortion, you've terminated the pregnancy. Fetuses have no pain receptors until the 6th month, although I feel that if a woman wants an abortion, it should be done as soon as she finds out she is pregnant, usually 8-12 weeks along.

As for the people answering that are condemning the mothers to hell for having an abortion, I'm sure their closets aren't as clean as they would like other people to think. Not very Christian to condemn others, I thought that was reserved for their God, not themselves.

i don't think of that he might want to invite that query. i'm a virgin, so that is not an situation for me, yet i trust that we are able to know how we sense about what we've finished in existence with out Jesus having to say a note.

It's a terrible choice for a woman to make, but if abortion is prohibited, society and individual women suffer even more with the more unwanted childen as well as women dead from back alley abortions.

No, the baby goes into a bucket and is discarded with the rest of the medical waste. Would you like to be ripped apart and dumped into the garbage on YOUR way to heaven?

What if it doesn't go to heaven? I haven't had anyone show me in the Bible where it says all babies go to heaven. God is no respecter of man. That's supposed to be scary.

yes the baby goes to heaven but the mother goes to HELL!

abortion is BAD and you should give the unborn child a chance to be born! if you are not ready yet to have him/her you can always find somebody to adopt and take care of your kid. ya heard! ^_^

Too bad the baby doesn't get to enjoy life and know what a life of pain is like, so they can compare, and Heaven will thus, be that much better

Kind of selfish don't you think.
To deny a human being all the joys of life because you can't be responsible.

Why did that baby do to rate a death sentence on the whimps of 1 person who could never be question.

There is so much wrong with that I do have the room to go through it all with you.
