Newton is a force.
Kilogram is a mass

Force = mass * acceleration

force is define by a push or a pull.

it takes 1N for a 1-kg object to acceleration at the rate of 1m/s^2

Newton is not the same unit anyway with kilogram
Newton(N) is a unit of WEIGHT and kilogram is mass unit. Kilogram's force is about 1.6 on moon that makes it 9.8 in earth(6 times).

Difference between weight and mass are that weight is the unit of density the body acquires / gravitational pull.

Divide 1 / 9.8 = 0.1020408163
Therefore one kilogram force = 0.1020408163

Newton is the unity of force inthe system which has kg(mass)
m(length) and second (time) as basic units.To avoid mistakes
kilogram force belongs to another unit system and
1kg force =9.8 Newton ( approx)
kg force depends on the acceleration of gravity at the point.

newton

Absolute unit of force, abbreviated N, in the metre-kilogram-second (MKS) system of physical units (see International System of Units). It is defined as the force necessary to provide a mass of 1 kg with an acceleration of 1 m per second per second. One newton is equal to a force of 100,000 dynes in the centimetre-gram-second (CGS) system, or a force of about 0.2248 lb in the foot-pound-second (English or U.S.) system. It is named for Isaac Newton, whose second law of motion describes the changes a force can produce in the motion of a body.
