the main advantages of flatscreen monitors are they are brighter, higher resolution, and smaller, but if you'd have to choose between the two, I'd say go with a flatscreen, though it is a bit pricier.

You can say that a flat screen is better than a normal screen. A flat screen takes up less room, too. It might be harder to connect the cables in a flat screen, especially the VGA cable. You have to screw it in there, and it's pretty hard to connect it with a flat screen.

Yes.

A normal monitor (aka CRT) is curve and picks up a lot of light refractions.

A flat screen monitor (also a CRT) gives a sharper image and has less glare.

LCD monitors are a different breed of monitors. They are not CRT's, but are digitally encoded. They use diodes and other materials to make square pixels instead of "dots" that CRT's make. This makes sharper images and clearer text when used with a computer.

I like my flat screen better than the old type--basically just takes up less room.

depends on what you mean by flat screen
if you mean HDTV
then yes.
they are clearer and more vibrant the the conventional tv's.
more dots per square inch
read specs on any of them and that should explain more.
compare a 32 inch HDTV with a Tube 32" tv.
big differences

absolutely....either plasma or lcd...they are the best techology in flat screens...they are sleek/great picture quality and just awesome
