Usually missing only one pill won't throw your cycle off so badly that you ovulate, but you never know because I took the pill exactly right every day at the same time and I still got pregnant. I would recommend having her take the morning after pill to prevent the egg and sperm from either meeting or implanting in her uterus...and the sooner she takes it, the more effective it will be. It only works up to 3 days later, but you get the best results if taken within 24 hours of the sex act. There's maybe a 4-8% chance that she could have gotten pregnant, and if you don't want to take that small chance then get her that pill! Tell her to expect her period to be different after taking it, though. It may come earlier or later. Good job on trying to be so safe...just goes to show that any mthod of birth control can fail. Good luck, and I hope you guys get this sorted out!

Firstly, as it's been less then 7 days since the 'missed pill' she should not take her break, but start the next pack right away (check instructions in box).
Secondly it is impossible to state the chance of pregnancy...A woman can get pregnant at any point in her cycle!
The best thing to do is nip to A&E or your GP to get the morning after pill (this can be taken up to 3 days after unprotected sex, but is more effective if taken earlier).

If you miss a birth control pill or take one at the wrong time it increases the chances of becoming pregnant. It's not like one missed or late pill takes you to an immediate zero percent effect rate, but it does decrease the protective effects. Part of the risk depends on when you missed the pill, when you took your next pill and what your health is like. Remember, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and taking antibiotics can also effect your pills.
Most of the time you are told to take the missed pill as soon as you remember it. You can usually take up to two doses at a single time. (Check with your prescribing doctor or midwife for specifics.) Remember, each pill should be taken about 24 hours away from each other to maintain the specific level of hormones you require.

about the morning after pill= first of all you need to find out if you are pregnant from another encounter or it can be dangerous. Remember the morning after pill is an extremely high level of birth control pill- it is horrible on your body- too many hormones at one time for you. Missing one pill does increase the risk of being pregnant, but chances are she probably is not. Remember that having sex, even on birth control can create a baby. The only way to not get pregnant is not to have sex. If you want to talk more, you or your gf may email me, I counsel women who are pregnant.

morning after pill, its effective up to 72 hours after sex but the earlier the better, get it from a family panning clinic or GP (i think) or maybe even a chemist. you can never be too careful, plus ask her where she in in her monthly cycle, if shes already ovulated then chances of pregnancy are low but, as a precaution, take the morning after pill (her not u i mean lol)

Why are you using Y! answers as a pregnancy test?
There is NO way that even a doctor could answer this question without examining you and running a pregnancy test.
I don't call my mechanic and say, "my car is making a funny noise, what is it?". If I did he would tell me he cannot diagnose the car over the phone and I would have to bring the car in.
Same goes with people.

If this only happened this morning then ask your girlfriend to go to her GP or family planning clinic tomorrow and get the morning after pill, it's better than waiting to see if your girlfriend misses her next peroid.

You use the word 'sex' alot! But any way, consult the local GP. It's the best thing to do or wait till her period is on! Don't by any chance have sex with her on friday, its disgusting! Having sex with some one who's on their period.
