easy answer:
LYNN SWANN DOES NOT BELONG IN THE HALL OF FAME
Only played 9 seasons, and only managed to top 800 yards in 2 of those 9 seasons, and never got as high as 900, much less a 1000 yard season, which was always the benchmark, even during his playing days. His first and last seasons, he barely dotted the playing field on offense, combining for 29 catches in 20 games, less than 500 yds (combined) and a mere 2 TD's.

The difference between the two, that keeps Pearson out, sad as it may be, is Drew's tendency to disappear in the post-season. I think that's unfair to Drew, seeing how he was consistantly near the top of the NFC, but that's how the voters work.

Drew Pearson definately deserves to be an HOFer! But, so does Lynn Swann. Let Drew's perfomance speak for itself, instead of putting another player down.

There is more to the Hall then just Stats. Swann didn't go in because of his Stats. He went in for who he was.
