I have installed AVG 7.5 Firewall with a new router. Windows diagnostic says that it is blocking access to FTP internet. This is blocking my Yahoo mail. How do I allow FTP?

It might not be your AVG firewall that is giving you problems. Yahoo mail is down and they are doing maintenance on it. A lot of people can't get into their mail accounts today.

I just had the same problem. I couldn't get on-line at all and was blaming my ISP, having already double-checked my own set-up for obvious faults. My ISP advised me to reset ZoneAlarm security setting to Medium, which solved the problem. I do not like having the lower security setting but have yet to think of a way around it that doesn't involve ditching ZoneAlarm (I am using version 7.0.470.000).

I don't know exactly why but I was glad to read previous answer. At least it's not me!
