actually, all accelerating software can mess up our modem. they increase the bit speed on it which overloads it. the end result is that you can break your modem, not be able to go on to the internet and some isp's will cancel your service. for some faster speed go to http://www.mozilla.com Firefox is faster and more secure. also i saw that you wanted to get only secure sites. go to http://www.siteadvisor.com that way when you serf the web, you can do it safely
