what's diff between 'called' and 'so-called'.
pls explain with example.

and can i use like this, tht i want to use my name and my nick name in one sentence, so it may come like this - this is steve's line (my name) so- called *****(nick name).

No, you wouldn't use "so-called" before your nickname, you would use "also known as", or a.k.a., the abbreviated version. "So-called" means the subject may or may not be true.

"called" means that you agree; it's not put into question:
The girl called Jessica left to go see the concert....
"so-called" means just that; that you're describing what is said about something/someone (not necessarily your own held opinion):
That so-called virtuoso left the stage in a hurry....

"So-called" would indicate doubt.
