That is one of the flaws with the two party system. The people that call themselves Republicans have almost no other place to put their allegiance.
Both major parties are on course to:
1- Increase the size of government
2- Raise your taxes
3- Have the government control more aspects of your life.
Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater are rolling around in their graves.
So either the disaffected republicans can join another party or try to change course of the leviathan they belong to.

At this point anyone who supports him is never not going to support him. No matter how long the laundry list of missteps gets they will just spin it some way so that they don't have to lay the blame on Bush. They just can't admit what an inept administration this is.
