Does keeping herbs used for spells in plastic containers lessen thier ablities? I have been told that one should only use glass or ceramic containers to store herbs especially ones that are to be used in spells or rituals. So what about using plastic bags to transport them home from the store? Any thoughts about it?

I guess it's because I am old, but I use earthen crocks for some and wooden boxes for others......There's also the ones like chamomile and Indian paint brush that hang from thumb tacks in the ceiling.

This has been a long debated issue. My personal opinion is use whatever works best for you. My herbs are stored in the same plastic bags that I bought them in and I have felt no adverse effects from them being stored in this manner.

Yes, plastic containers reduce the potency of herbs. Glass-especially dark colored is the best. It helps to bring your own energetically cleaned jars to the store when you plan to purchase herbs. Thank you for asking.

I personally use only ceramic pots that I have. Even if I were buying tea leaves from the natural store, I wouldn't put them in plastic. I also don't store them in anyway that they would be exposed to air.
