If I had it to do all over again, I would have had more children. I only had two (a boy and a girl). I wish I'd had 3 or 4 children. I loved being a mother. I made mistakes, like all parents do, but I did my best and my kids grew up and got married and have children of their own. There is NOTHING so special as having grandchildren! If I hadn't had kids, I wouldn't have grandkids. I think some people should not have children, though. Selfish people who want to do their own thing and not take any responsibility for others should not have children. Children require nurturing. If you aren't into nurturing, then kids aren't for you. But the joys of being a parent far outweigh the problems and sacrifices that go along with parenthood. The good thing is that if you are NOT a parent, you just never find out what you missed, so you don't miss it. And you can't explain to a non-parent how wonderful having a child really is. It's like explaining love. It cannot be done.

My hubby has a child from a previous relationship, the mother abused him, he`s got some serious emotional issues. I think if children are concieved via deceit, ( throwing pills down the sink to get pregnant), the child resulting from this will be unwanted ..But I don`t regret having my kids, my hubby regrets not using birthcontrol, the child is messed up!!

Our world is going to hell and until it gets better, it is no place to raise a child. Serial killers, child molesters and unemployment are just a few reasons not to have kids. I have 3 kids and 2 grandkids and believe me, if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have had any kids.
