Look at it this way, each star you see is a sun to a solar system. That means there are more planets than there are stars. And we cant see the vast, vast majority of stars. Chances are there are a billion times a billion times a billion planets. I'd say there is an extremely high chance of other intelligent life somewhere in the universe. And I would highly doubt (given the current state of the world) that we are top of the tree.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Are we going to decide on the existence of life beyond earth by voting? What a thorougly idiotic principle.
Is there life out there, TEXT 'yes' to 808871, or TEXT 'no' to 808871.
ET is busy texting 'no' to 808871 because he doesn't want to be discovered by such a stupid species.
Meanwhile, the Aliens from Independence Day arrive over the Whitehouse and George W Bush says, 'People of Americanisms, we have nothing to fear. We have votified that these aliens do not exist'.
Truth is absolute. A vote cannot be made on such matters. Until such evidence is proven for or against, the answer has to remain, 'we don't know' and just put up with it.
You'd never get the real scientists to do something so stupid.
That'd be like, 'Hey, do we reckon Pluto is a planet or not? Why don't we vote on it?'
Obviously nothing as stupid as that could ever happen....oh, hold on.....

I'd say YES. Just to keep you happy. My real answer would be that it is possible, given that the planet has a good environment to spawn any life - and we're very young compared to the universe - and is on another planetary system.

The probability is that somewhere there is life which is more technologically advanced than we are. However, that doesn't mean the UFO's are real. No matter how advanced life is it still doesn't change the "laws of nature".

Depends how much further advanced they are. I do not believe there is life incredibly more technologically advanced than ours; it would seem to suggest they should have made contact. There could well be life more technologically advanced than ours though.
