i have to find the meaning of the slope of a graph....what does the index of refraction times the sine of the incident angle over the sine of the refracted angle mean????

i=incident, r=refracted
ni*sin(θi)=nr*sin(θr) were the θ are measured from the perpendicular.

so rearranging

ni*sin(θi)/sin(θr)=nr

You're measuring the index of refraction of the second material.
