According to an NPR article, 1.3 million (approximate figure) fetuses are aborted every year in the united states.

According to the US coalition for Child Survival, TEN million children die every year due to easily preventable diseases such as diarrhea.

So which problem seems like the most pressing to deal with?

Rick -- How is it disingenuous? First of all, you think abortions only happen in America? Though the statistic I cited was, granted, American, I can safely assume that the figures for worldwide abortion would be less than worldwide preventable death. The question still stands and is not disingenuous.

I'm pro-life and from the way you phrase your question, I'm gonna go with helping the children dying from preventable disease as more pressing.

That's just because making the effort, organizing to man power and funding, medications requires a lot of work.

It's doesn't take that much effort NOT to kill your baby and think, one of those 1.3 million people who didn't get to live could have been the ones to solve the problem you present.

Plus, abortion is a preventable death!

Pro lifers is Pro choice. I feel that we need to deal with the issue of the children that the mother did want. i fell that we would be like other countries trying to Make people have babies that they and we can't afford. the ones that have already made it through the birthing process need the help the most. I dont believe in abortions but i can't pay for someone elses choice either.

What is not understandable is how they can fight so hard to keep a fetus to childhood only to let them starve or die from disease, due to their unwillingness to pay their fair share of tax's. It seems to me that is a contrast in the whole right to life movement. Later when this unwanted child grows to adulthood and commits a capital crime they want to be the one that puts the needle in their arm.

Let's stick to fixing domestic problems, shall we? Your question is disingenuous as you present a choice between one domestic issue and one international one. How about letting Ethiopians worry about Ethiopians for a change?

I'm a pro-life Democrat. We MUST protect all life from conception....until death.

If a disease can be prevented....we must stop it, and protect all the children from them.

Abortion is wrong....ignoring preventable disease is wrong too.

There is no logical connection between these statements. Abortion is murder. There is no circumstance which makes it not murder.

You know they only care about the unborn. Once that kid comes out it's on its own.
