Chavez is an elected leader just as Bush is an elected leader Bush. There's evidence the Bush government tried to oust Chavez and fix the elections but I do not believe the reverse is true.
Bush has been altering the constitution, how can you NOT know this! He's signed numerous bills then rewritten them by saying HOW he'll enforce them, he's pushed other bills such as the patriot act that unnecessarily take away civil liberties, he's repeatedly authorized warrentless wiretapping by the NSA, and given a nod and a wink to the FBI's excessive and unjustified spying.
There is no Democrat "communist" goal and you know it.

If communism is the goal, it would only be for the people who believe in such things. No one here, that I know of, can stomach Chavez and our President should NOT be considered someone like him. In fact, if you read even the Yahoo! AP wire services, Bush would not even comment when Chavez made those terrible remarks. He refused to start a verbal battle with him.
In my heart, I know what Bush is thinking. I figure if he really had his chance, he'd lay Chavez out with one blow.
I don't know WHAT you've been reading, but I'll tell you right now it HAS TO BE propaganda in it's purest form. Don't believe everything you read. We're in Iraq to help these people. It's the radicals there who are killing their own citizens. That's the problem with people who make statements like yours. They don't know the real truth or are unacceptable of it.

Chavez is not a dictator, he was democratically elected (with elections internationally monitored). The electoral process is far more democratic in Venezuela than the United States.
Chavez has not only decreased illiteracy by 100% in Venezuela, he has developed many social programs for the poor, too many to mention here.
Chavez provided substantially reduced home heatin oil rates for the poor in the United States.
Chavez provided a far more accurate and principled reaction to Hurricaine Katrina than our elected officials who were more concerned with how their shirts looked, vacations, and shopping for shoes on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills (Condoleeza Rice).
Chavez has traded oil for doctors help with Cuba so the poor of Venezuela have medical help.
The sad part is more people have access to health care in Venezuela than the United states... comparing GDPs this should be an outrage.
Of course, not to you because you are just being an ignorant and reactionary stooge. Ignorant... I said Ignorant.
Not one word has been said by Chavez about Communism. You are unlearned, because you lack the education to know the difference between the Bolivarian Revolution aka Socialism for the 21st century (i.e. helping poor people from exploitation by the rich) and Communism... that is your problem, go to college.
Bush is acting like a dictator when 2/3 of Americans oppose a troop surge in Iraq and he ignores that and does it anyway.
He is not a dictator per se because he has the backing of both business class parties in this mission or it wouldn't have gone through.
But to the People of the US who oppose this war his behavior is consistent with that of any dictator, Stalin or Mao yo can choose. Both of which were not Communists by the way, they were State Capitalists exploiting the rhetoric and language of Communism (which is common).
So there is your history lesson for the day cretin.

I'm a liberal and I have never called bush a dictator. I do think chavez is a dictator. Communism as a theory is nice idea, but if we're talking about utopian fantasies, I'd choose anarchy any day. I also dislike how you lump us all together. This is true on both sides of the isle, but you could do your part to end it. My main complaints with the current administration deal with what I believe to be corporate welfare, the war in Iraq, and and encroachment on personal privacy. The constitution is alright by me, but I believe my rights are inherent and not granted by papers, people, or governments.

I think our government is out of control. It is no longer a government "of the people" as it was originally intended. Our Declaration of Independence allows for overthrow of government when it is not "of the people", but try that....and I'll visit you in the slammer.
