Okay, my wife and I are in our mid to late 30s and we are taking a trip to Vegas at the end of March. Neither one of us have been before and we don't have a clue what to pack for clothing...day or night...and we are curious what would look good. We plan on doing the casinos, maybe a night club or whatever.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of fashions are in or what is good to wear there?

I have lived in Las Vegas for 5 years, for during the day I would recommend shorts and short sleeves, but at night it get cooler really fast so make sure to carry a light jacket with you and some warm clothes as well. Anything looks good trust me from the really dressed up to the really dressed down. As far as going out and about there is no way you are going to be able to do everything you want to do in just one trip, so I would recommend going to the Wynn Las Vegas. The Fashion Show Mall and you need to see the Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian, and Buca De Depdepo is an Italian Restaurant you would love. And you must go to the Red Rock Hotel and Cansio!!

Hope you guys have a blast and I hope this helps!!

The dress is casual for almost every thing. Shorts and T shirts are the wear during the day and people even wear them in casinos. People do not dress up for shows with suit and tie or dress, but kinds sports casual. The only places you may need to be "dressed" is if you go to a top notch restaurant for dinner in one of the big hotels like Bellagios or Ceasers, or if you plan to go to clubs they do have a dress code, like no jeans and timberlakes, baggy pants, cut offs, etc. Men may need a shirt with a collar and women tastefully dressed.

i went back in March 2002 and everyone was very casulally dressed, it was quite warm during the day with only one sandstorm, nights were a bit chilly, nothing glamorous needed but if you are planning on eating at a restaurant in the Bellagio or similar I would dress a little more classy, the casinos are very easy going tho - anything you like!!
