Is this against any religion?

Well you can't like everyone. You don't have to be everyone's best friend. However, you must still be civil & show basic human decency/respect to everyone. If you deliberately hurt someone because you don't like them then this goes against every religion. Be kind to others. Treat them as you would like to be treated. There is no excuse for cruelty. If you don't like someone, just avoid them. If you can't say something nice, say nothing. (Jesus told us to love our enemies, pray for our persecutors & turn the other cheek if someone were to strike us, I'm afraid I can't quite live up to that!! But I just stay away from those I'm not fond of. I certainly wouldn't be mean to them. I would only defend myself if they attacked me.)

I don't know if it's against any religion. But, I will say, it is virtually impossible to like everyone. From the moment we are born, we have this instinct that we must are "innocent," and must remain so. We must not let drugs, crimes, or anything of that sort get into our minds. When we do, we feel guilty, like somehow we are shattering our innocence. It's okay to occasionally do bad things, though, and dislike some people, like you mentioned. This is also part of human nature. Innocence is overrated.

Of course it is.
I spent too much of my life always looking for some good in everyone, something to like about even the worst of people, and then a few years ago came to the realization that liking people was not the actual goal, it was finding a reasonable way to deal with everybody, including those I did not like.
Not liking people is one thing. It's what you do about that dislike that defines your character.

Feelings simply do whatever they do but our reaction to those feelings is what really matters.

Some people are just not likable but if you are a Christian it is best to "take your thoughts into captivity" and pray that God changes your heart. This does not mean that you have to associate with or become friends with that person, it only means that you want to maintain a clean and pure heart in the eyes of the Lord.

you know what i think???

i think religion should only dictate a persons spirituality.
making friends...not liking people is not a spiritual task. when religions starts to interfere with society and stuff like gov't, or what women wear (im not talking about ONLY islam, i know hard-core christitians dont let their women wear pants and other religions have restrictions too) everything gets complicated.

and therefore its okay to dislike people if you have a good reason. like if you dont like micheal jackson cuz he is bit crazy in the head...its perfectly fine.

From my perspective, it seems to me that every organized religion says its okay to not like some people. Specifically - other people. So I guess you're in the clear as far as religion goes.

You aren't going to get along with everyone you meet, nobody has. No, it isn't against any religion.

We Should like all people after all they are human too. But being human means that we stereotype, judge, and all that good stuff. I know that Christians believe 'Love your neighbor as your self' which is saying that we love ourselves and we should also love all other people.

It's wrong to hate or dislike anyone, but God says that it's okay to hate the sin that people commit.

it is human nature to like or dislike something or someone more than others.....you dont like all foods...do you? or, people tend to hang around with people that are interested in the same things that they are.....that is what makes the world go around and isn't it great that we have the choice
