I don't want to answer this question because a lot of people ask such questions and then don't return to it in order to pick the best or correct answer. Will you promise to let us know the correct answer? No...well, here's my guess: They all received Oscars (or at least a nomination) for roles by which they were not the first to be chosen for that particular role OR they missed the chance to be nominated for a particular role because they passed it up. For example: Warren Beatty turned down the role of Jack Horner in Boogie Nights (1997). He later said that it was one of the few choices in his career that he regretted. Burt Reynolds garnered an Academy Award nomination for his performance in the film. Clark Gable and Oliver Reed were dyslexic but I don't read that Betty Davis was.

i think of that is unfair to place bill Ayers in an analogous team. What did Ayers do? Blow up some lavatories in the Pentagon to protest the rustic's damaging rampage in SE Asia?
