Decrease.
Any alternative fuel source (Hydrogen, for example) would put a large dent in the Petroleum Industry Profits with trickle down to Big Pharma.

Who immediately buys up the H2 startups and put them out of business?

H2 technology (noiseless, odorless) was around in the early 50's. For 50 years we have know about fueling the earth with water.

In a capitalistic Society (a dollar based society), the dollar is the common demonimator, not logic, not reason, not fairness not goodness not beauty, not the common good for all. The fuel that drives our society is oil dollars, and probably will remain so until we suck the last drop out of the earth.

Because of the dominant "greed" gene, societies eventually do their circle and come back to capitalism.

Small business private enterprise success will become extinct.

Private enterprise is only way to save the world, global trade must stop, for we consume 10 ounces of carbon calories for every 1 calorie of food we intake.

Watch Mike Ruppert's Peak Oil video's on YouTube or Google, he tells it like it is, and even tells you what to do. Listen to him folks.....for to survive....its time to technically become the Amish way of life......someone does cattle, someone does chickens, someone does sewing, someone does water, someone does horses, etc, etc.....hate to tell you all....but the days you see before you are about over.

And this comes from a guy who is just shy of 38, seen the birth of the computer, seen the last gas shortage in the 70's, knows the story.....all I can say for my generation and those prior to me.........I am sorry to hand you such an ugly world of lies, for I was duped as well till recently. Sorry is all I can say.

what i dont understand about people that pose this question is........why do you have to make an arguement about something like global warming? it only takes common sense to realize we are polluting the earth and if we want this old earth to last whats so bad about going green? everyone can at least trying to do one thing to help, like recycle. no wonder we are at war. people cant even find a common ground on something like global warming. whether or not there is a such thing, why not try to have a cleaner invironment just because its more healthy. smokers are already at the top of this list, lets just do our part and stop bickering. PLEASE!!!!!
