Before I begin, I'm a 16 yr old boy living in India. I really like this girl in my class and we are quite close to each other. But this was not so when I first met her 4-5yrs ago. I used to hate her like anything and she used to hate me too. We really didnt like each other. But over the past few years we have literally become best of friends, I mean we are realy close. And I've developed a liking for her. I have already told her this but recently I found out that she had a liking for this other guy, who turns out to be my best friend. I asked her why she didn't tell me that earlier, and she replied that she didnt want hurt my feelings and I know she meant it. I'm not angry about she not liking me as I believe that every person has his/her own choice. Now the thing is I really cant seem to stop thinking about her, I mean I want to see her smiling atleast once everyday cause it makes me feel very happy (call it maddness or whatever).

These feelings are nothing sexual (as most people would think). I just want to be with her. So should I tell her that I have fallen for her hook, line and sinker? Or should I leave it the way things are? I mean, I don't want anything to hamper our friendship cause it really means a lot to me. But we will be going our separate ways soon and I really want to share my feelings with her, so should I or should I not? Please help me out.

be a friend a good friend. as you have already seen, people change and you are only 16 so you will have alot of changes (growth) coming. Strong love is based on strong friendship so be a good friend and build your friendship , the rest will follow in the appropriate amount of time...

if she likes another guy then tell her to be whoever she wants as long as shes happy and keep a close friendship with her, she might eventually choose you over him and if not she'll wonder for the rest of her life if she made the right decision choosing him. but anyway just stay real good friends with her and if things dont work out later then your the best choice for her. and try to make her laugh a lot, thats probably the best thing you can do for a relationship.

I was in this same situation in high school, but I was the girl, and the guys were my two best friends. They confided in each other that they both had feelings for me, but one of them knew that I would never feel about him the way he felt about me, so he let me go. I ended up dating the other friend for awhile, but we didn't work out. The three of us were inseperable for years. I couldn't ask for better friends. We've been friends now for 12 years. Since you've already told her how you've felt, and she has expressed intrest in someone else, the only thing you can do is let her go, and let your friendship grow in another direction. She may end up being the best friend you have.

if it's going to bother you for the rest of your life you should tell her that you love her, because that's what it sounds like. You need to express your feelings. Hopefully this works, good luck..........~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
