Yeah it would be a little weird.

You should try to style it differently. But one hair up, one hair down, then one w/ simple jewelry/accessories, and one w/ more spotlight on he accessories. If you make the styles kind of different, no one will remember what you were wearing at the other prom, especially since it's a totally different gorup so people! Don't worry about it! Or just borrow a friends dress for the 2nd prom. Between your friends, I'm sure you'll find a million dresses that fit fine! =] Have fun!

It's not at all tacky! Get a dress you like and find subtle ways to change the look, not the dress.... different hair style, different make-up, different accesories, different shoes. Or if it's a long dress, find someone who can sew and change the length or something. But if you're hell-bent on having two different dresses, ask a friend who wears the same size if she has a dress you can borrow.

Hmmm no I don't think it would be tacky at all but it depends on the dress. If its just a normal basic dress, then fine wear it both times, but if its tie dye with feathers (aka a very induvidual, memorable dress) then I'd say get a different one. Just have fun with it, chances are since its a different school and different day then there shouldn't be a problem.

Well, I think you should buy another one, but buying another dress would also imply buying new matching shoes, jewelry, and purse. On the bright side, though, you'll have two different dresses for the futute! But, if you're not willing to spend a lot of money to invest in another dress there are other things you could do.
One option could be to adorn the dress with different accesories, like different shoes, or a cropped cardigan over the dress, if you think that it would look good.
Another option would be to alter the dress. Sew on some cute beads, or iron on an aplique. Whatever you think is best.
Have fun!

I don't see anything wrong with it personally but what you could do is trade dresses with someone [maybe from another school]. Use someones dress from last year for the other prom or other formal. get creative! swapping dresses will cost you nothing. sometimes even if you are a different size the same dress can fit you (the cuts are weird sommetimes) butttt if you can't find someone to trade with, just wear it to both. <3

No I don't think so - it would be costly to get two different dresses.
Think of it as your 2007 prom dress!
Also, you could maybe change the dress slightly by using two different wraps and evening bags.
And you would of course do your hair different for each event so when you see the photos there will be a difference.
Good luck and have fun!

i dont think its tacky. not many people will know, less will even notice. any decent person wouldnt say anything. its prom who really cares what your wearing. the thing is to make some memories.
ps: jcpenny and dillards have great, cheap dresses if your going to get another one!

It's a nice dress and set you back a pretty penny. Don't let material BS run your life. Wear the dress you have, look beautiful, and have fun. Or borrow a dress. But don't buy a new one. Total waste of money.
